Trimápee- say; (Trim – mar – pea) Trimápee is an Australian based fashion label with designs that define eclectic artistic thinking. Unique collections with conceptual themes make each Trimápee garment a product of character expression, rather than the attempt of mimicking mainstream fashion. With thematic and historical influences, Trimápee aims to transform the humble wardrobe into a means of expression. Like the joker from a deck of cards, Trimápee does not conform to any suite. Neither clubs, spades, diamonds nor hearts, Trimápee is the joker who stands alone but whose versatility extends to replace all other suites in a deck. A versatility created through its juxtaposition of styles to fashion a new look for any occasion- for work or for play- but demanding expression. As this new look finds its way into the realm of mainstream, Trimápee will aspire to reinvent and recreate itself again and again. Trimápee comprises of two designers; Peter Strateas and Mario-Luca Carlucci. The pair derive from different design disciplines, which when combined, creates a fresh unique outlook toward fashion. Both home to Australia's creative hub, Melbourne, which works as the perfect creative environment for young designers. In it's labyrinth of hidden streets and alleys, Melbourne cradles and nurtures it's many young aspiring designers. Trimápee launched their debut collection as participants of the Mercedes Benz Start Up Program 2005 as they were selected as one of 5 Victorian Finalists. This then gave Trimápee the opportunity to launch their Autumn Winter 06 "Vampyre Collection" to a larger National and International audience at the 2005 Mercedes Australian Fashion Week New Generation Show. It was here that Trimápee made a "dazzling Impression"- The Herald Sun, and were dubbed "Boys on The Brink" By the Age's Janice Breen Burns. Trimápee also received international acclaim for the collection and received full-page editorial in the Italian Prêt-a-porter Magazine "Mood" amongst the likes of Mjolk and Josh Goot. Since then Trimápee has participated in over 5 major Australian Fashion events, including Rosemount Australian Fashion Week, L'Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival and not to mention their innovative and obscure Independent Shows held at some of Melbourne's most unique locations including the Old Melbourne Gaol and St Paul's Cathedral. Trimápee has also dressed some of Australia's hottest bands including, Silverchair (2007 ARIA's and Film Clip), JET (USA Tour with Oasis), Powderfinger (Film Clip and current UK Tour),The Vines, The Dukes of Windsor (MTV Music Awards and Film Clips) just to name a few which extend to some International Acts including M.I.A, The Klaxons, John Mayor and Adrian Grenier from hit US T.V.
